For the public

Find the right attorney, without the guesswork.

LawIndex lists every law firm in the Legal Practice Council records — all 16,485 of them, in 724 towns across 9 provinces.

Search by name, town or practice area. Every listing shows the firm's verified details, its Google rating, and what clients have said — the same information you would piece together from five different places, on one page.

Firms that have claimed and verified their profile appear first. After that, listings are ordered by their Google rating and review count. Nobody can pay to be placed higher. Ever.

LawIndex is free to use, and always will be.

How LawIndex sees your firm.

  1. 01

    We list what is public.

Your firm's record starts from LPC records, matched with what clients can see: your website, your Google Business Profile, your reviews.

  2. 02

    You claim your profile.

Sign in with your work email. If its domain matches your firm's website, verification is instant. Otherwise a human checks it within one working day.

  3. 03

    You see your score.

Privately, you get a visibility audit with the exact gaps — no website, missing phone number, too few reviews.

  4. 04

You fix things at the source.

On Google, on your own website, in how you ask clients for reviews. Our guides walk you through each fix, step by step.

  5. 05

    You request a re-scan.

Our next scan picks up the improvements. Your profile updates, your score moves, and your placement in your town's listing reflects it.

We never edit your listing directly except to correct errors in the LPC records themselves, and those are reviewed by a person. LawIndex mirrors the public record — it does not replace it.

What we never do

  • We never publish your score, your grade, or any ranking. Those are for your eyes only.
  • We never sell placement. Listing order is set by verification, Google rating and review count — nothing else.
  • We never list a firm that is not in LPC records, and we remove firms when those records change.
